Ryan Dunn Died in His Porsche 911 GT3 Today

Published by loungeking on June 21st, 2011 - in What's Happenin' Now
Well it's very sad news today that Ryan Dunn went out in a ball of flames last night at 3am in PA. He was driving a Porsche 911 GT3, a VERY fast car, and I'm sure he was a little tipsy and feeling very invisible, taking the corners way to fast, mis judged it and went off the side into the wood hitting many different trees along the way. I'm sure that it was instant, or close to it. It's a big shocker to everyone, especially to the younger generation. I'm sure their own immortality hits home when someone like this dies so suddenly. Bam Margera admits to balling his eyes out all day, and then getting VERY pissed when Roger Ebert said something flippant on his Twitter account. I wouldn't be surprised if Bam socked him at some celebrity gathering. I'm sure it had to hit home with all the Jackass members, they all must be in complete shock. I guess Ryan Dunn will always be known as a Jackass, but he went out with a bang. Porsche 911 GT3 RS Diecast Car Model I'm definitely going to buy one of these little cars to remember him by... Well at least it looked like he was having fun before he broke on through to the other side...

Wondered why I could not get Netflix to work last night!

Published by loungeking on June 20th, 2011 - in What's Happenin' Now
Found out it was not my system it was theirs that was non-functioning. Either Netflix had major server problems or someone hacked into there system to sabotage them as they were down for several hours ( which they are not admitting to being hacked into) .... or to teach us on demand instant gratification junkies to learn to have that old forgotten virtue, patience. Being able to stream television show episodes and movies has been the much needed entertainment alternative around my house since so many of the better TV shows have concluded for the season and some permanently. But what shows are never to come back and which ones that are starting to consider making next season their final season is for another time. Back to you Netflix glad you got up and running again, keep it streaming...... Lounge Lizzie

For all those who have Father’s they love & have passed on to the the other side

Published by loungeking on June 20th, 2011 - in What's Happenin' Now
It is all about Father's Day today! Someone on my Facebook friends listed posted this today. It really struck a cord for me and I think it will for others who have father's that are no longer here but love and miss them. Not sure if this is an original or a quote. "If roses grow in heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for me, place them in my Dads arms and tell him there from me. Tell him that I love him and miss him, and when he turns and smiles place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile. I love you Dad !!" Happy Fathers Day to those dads that are with us and the ones that continue to live on fondly in our hearts and minds..... Lounge Lizzie.....

Poor little Lindsay Lohan is going down the river.

Published by loungeking on December 14th, 2010 - in What's Happenin' Now
Right now this girl is a complete train-wreck, totally defiant and going down a path of destruction. Lindsay Lohan is totally out of control, hopped up on booze, white stuff and a huge ego. Unfortunately her ego drug filled bubble will be popped one day and I hope it’s not a bottom she can’t come back from. I think she’s a great little actress and a pretty girl so I am really pulling for her. I don’t want to watch her go down and deteriorate into a has-been so I will just put it out to the universe right now that she will pull out of this, clean up and be the person she can be. I do have to laugh at the fingernail stunt she pulled, that’s great. Do you think she meant that for the paparazzi or the court?

Teen Sailor Abby Sunderland Found Alive and Well!

Published by loungeking on December 14th, 2010 - in What's Happenin' Now
I am just so happy that Abby Sunderland was found safe and sound. When I heard about that today my heart sunk a little. I just thought that girl was so couragous for following such an awesome but very risky dream. And she had parents that really encouraged her to do what she wanted. There was no fear put on her from the people around her which gave her massive amounts of courage to take on what might seem impossible to most people. I don’t normally let my heart be moved by what I hear in the news but this one just got to me. I literally felt joy in my spirit when I opened up my Yahoo Mail and saw this story. How cool is this? What do you think? I know this has to inspire thousands of people worldwide. Good job young lady!! You will get that world record some day soon, I just know it. Al & Tipper Gore breakup… I am so confused!

Published by loungeking on December 14th, 2010 - in What's Happenin' Now
Am I the only one scratching my head in confusion? I think I just need to express myself maybe it will help me gain some clarity here. Ok, so the media got a hold of the news that 2 weeks after celebrating a major marriage milestone… 40 years of marriage between two people who have presented as a loving couple every chance they could get have decide to get a divorce because they simply have grown apart! The craziest part is that they are presenting this information with a straight face and reporting in a quasi jubilant tone as they run picture after picture of them as a happy smiling couple, kissing, and always being affectionate. So we are supposed to believe they have had a good marriage, have a beautiful family, have weathered the ups and downs of his political career, her bout with depression, his campaign on Global warming and made it through the mid life crisis stage into their 60?s and now they have grown apart??? And…oh by the way there are no affairs going on. They want to go off into the sunset of life seperately and alone. Give me a break does any of this make sense to you? And if this is really the case why is this story getting all this media coverage, there is no drama of illicit affairs, illegitimate children, drug and alcohol addiction or abuse. So, I am thinking the media is baffled themselves and looking for feedback from the public to gain clarity on this story as well. Depending how this story has been reported in the last few days you do not know whether to send them your sympathy or congratulate them for a job well done and present them with a gold watch. I don’t think their reason for divorcing makes sense any more than the media making this a major headline story riddled with mixed messages unless they think this will flush out the “real” story about why they decided to split up. There is a saying, ” eventually it will all come out in the wash”….. ~Lounge Lizzie

Memorial Day a National Day of Remembrance for our Service Men & Women

Published by loungeking on December 14th, 2010 - in What's Happenin' Now
Although I do not subscribe to war I often think were would we be without the men and women who serve and defend our country? Unfortunately the reality of life here on planet earth is since the being of humans on earth and after the Garden of Eden debacle there has been wars to defend and protect people, freedom, rights, beliefs, property, territories and countries. As Buz Light Year would say this most likely this will continue “into affinity” and I am going to say and hopefully not beyond! I think today we should take a few minutes out of our vacationing, beer drinking, barbecuing day to not only remember the fallen but the people who have served and survived their military assignments as well as the people who are in all branches of the military serving right now. I think most of us have either served (not me) or has someone in our life who has been in the military. For me that was my father who long ago was in the Army under General Patton and was stationed in Germany where they were defending the freedom of the Jew’s and helping to release them from the concentration camps. I am not only proud in remembrance of him and how he was fighting for Freedom….ours and theirs but sooooo grateful he survived to come back to the US get married, live on to live to have a full life and bring 6 children into this world (me being one of them)! So writing this is my moment to remember my father, all the fallen serviceman & women and to Thank the people serving today. May God Bless America and each one of you:)~Lounge Lizzie
